Tulfan Terrace

Tulfan Terrace
Tulfan Terrace in the New York Times.

Tulfan Terrace, a little unmapped lane in the Riverdale part of the Bronx, consists of eight single-family homes built during the 1920's. This little lane, constructed on the second highest hill in the Bronx, has remained hidden and relatively untouched by time until now.

Tulfan Terrace has been targeted for development. There may only be a matter of weeks remaining before this unique segment of Bronx history is lost forever. Development is an issue in the news a lot these days, especially here in New York City. The community around us is changing into a place we cannot recognize. More and more of New York City's history is being destroyed every day. Although we are only one example of this trend, Tulfan Terrace is a place unlike anywhere else in the Bronx; a place we think is worth saving.
